How Do I Retain The Shape Of My Fibrecurl Cushion Inners?
Fibrecurl is a hollow fibre which is spring loaded and heat set to hold its form. When receiving your sofa, your seat and back cushions may look over filled. However the cushions will lose approximately 10% of their loft in the first 2 weeks. Fibrecurl is definitely more comfortable than foam, but with the comfort of fibrecurl comes maintenance. Your cushions should be puffed regularly to prevent the fibre balls from dissipating into each other which will form wadding. Cushions should be puffed 2 – 3 times a week depending on how often you sit on them. If after 2 weeks you find your cushions are too hard, some of the fibrecurl can be removed by simply unzipping the cushion cover and the inner and removing the required amount. Should you on the other hand require more fibrecurl over time, it can be arranged through the showroom you made your purchase at.
What Is The Best Way To Preserve My Leather Sofa?
A hide food, sold within our showrooms, should be applied once a year in order to prolong and maintain the softness of the leather. Under no circumstances should any leather sofa be exposed to direct sunlight for any period of time as this will cause the colour to fade, like any other natural skin product. Certain leathers can only be cleaned professionally. Professional cleaning and care can be arrange by contacting Cabana Enterprises on 021 551 1861
How Do I Wash Clean My Fabric Slipcover Sofa?
You can either machine wash on a gentle cycle in lukewarm water, not hotter than 30’C, or hand wash both using a mild soap powder that does contain any harmful bleaching agents. You can alternatively professionally dry clean your slip covers. Do not tumble dry or clothes line dry. Instead reapply the slipcover to your sofa slightly damp and smooth out creases with your hand. Let the slipcover then dry naturally once re-applied. Never let it dry in direct sunlight as the harsh African climate can cause the colours to fade.
What Is The Difference Between Solid Timber And Veneer?
We usually use solid timber on the frame of wooden product. Veneer refers to horizontally cut pieces of quality timber which is adhered to particle board. Climate changes between winter and summer cause timber to expand and shrink up to 10mm per 1 meter width which may lead to cracking. Particle board is more stable and is not affected by climate changes. We therefore usually use veneer timber on dining table and coffee table tops to prevent cracking over time.
